Philippine Airlines (PAL) now allows you to bring small dogs onboard flights to Siargao. With their new FurPAL service, you and your pet can enjoy the flight together in the cabin.
What You Need to Know About FurPAL
PAL’s FurPAL program is available for small dogs flying on select domestic routes, including Siargao. To bring your dog onboard, the following conditions apply:
Your dog, including the carrier, must weigh no more than 10 kg. The carrier must be soft-sided with a solid base and must fit under the seat in front of you. The maximum size of the carrier is 17 inches in length, 11 inches in width, and 9.5 inches in height. The fee for bringing your dog is ₱2,500 one-way, in addition to your ticket.
Required Health Documents for Your Pet
Before booking, ensure your dog meets these health requirements:
Your dog must have a health certificate from a licensed vet stating they are fit to fly. You also need an up-to-date anti-rabies vaccination certificate. A shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry is required. Sedation is not allowed during the flight.
Booking Your Pet’s Seat
To bring your dog onboard, you must book your pet’s seat through PAL’s customer service or website. PAL limits the number of pets per flight, so make sure to confirm your pet’s spot as early as possible.
